Philanthropy and sponsoring

Societe Generale focuses its philanthropic actions on education, culture and the environment, three areas essential to living in a society. The Group has had long-standing commitments to classical music (since 1987), contemporary art (since 1995) and the education and professional integration of young people (since 2006). Today it has also extended its focus to the environment, keeping this was its strategy to support the environmental transition of its clients and its activities.

In Spain we currently collaborate with several NGO’s and focus our solidarity actions on education and professional integration. See more details here

Cultural philanthropy through classical music and sports sponsorship are also other areas where we focus locally.

CULTURAL PHILANTROPY

Classical music and contemporary art are two key areas of Societe Generale’s cultural patronage policy. This policy is perfectly aligned with the Group's culture and core values.

In Spain, since September 2021, Societe Generale has become a patron of the new historical performance training programme of the prestigious Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía. The new Societe Generale Historical Performance Program aims to expose school students to the various existing performing traditions. The programme is taught by Paul Goodwin, a renowned British conductor and current director of the Carmel Bach Festival in California, with a long-standing commitment to educational projects.
